The clash between singer Gjesti and the record label “ONIMA” is taking on unprecedented dimensions, now involving a significant portion of the Albanian showbiz community in court cases. After a number of well-known artists publicly came to Gjesti’s defense, ONIMA’s owner, Erkand Shabani, has taken drastic legal measures against them.

In a lengthy statement published on social media, Shabani announced that he has officially reported to the police and relevant authorities the public figures who supported the singer. He accuses them of misusing their influence over the masses to justify violence and relativize crime.

“Various artists… have become part of a campaign to justify violence through slander and deceit. Considering that these are figures with public influence, this amplifies the danger to me and to the company ONIMA,” Shabani wrote in his response.

The list of VIPs being sued includes some of the most talked-about names at the moment: Yll Limani, Tayna, Zanfina Ismajli, Vesa Luma, Xheneta Fetahu, G Bani, Oriola Marashi, Besa Kokëdhima, and Pleurat Zeksylaj.

Shabani concludes his statement by firmly emphasizing that he will deal with these names “only through the appropriate institutions and lawsuits.”
